Enjoy the Benefits of Porcelain Veneers
Dental veneers at our Albuquerque dental office can provide benefits such as:
Improved Appearance
Even a minor concern, such as a stained tooth, can impact the appearance of your smile. Veneers conceal this type of imperfection to dramatically improve the aesthetics of your grin.
Boosted Confidence
A gorgeous smile is just as important as a healthy smile. Porcelain veneers can conceal issues that may cause you to feel self-conscious about your smile.
Quick Treatment
Veneers treatment can be completed in as little as two appointments. This cosmetic treatment allows patients to achieve the smile they've always dreamed of quickly.
Natural Results
Your dentist will color-match each veneer to ensure your porcelain veneers blend seamlessly and naturally with your smile.

Paying for Your Veneers
We accept most types of dental insurance. But because veneers are a cosmetic treatment and not considered medically necessary, most dental insurance plans do not cover them. We accept financing through CareCredit® financing, which allows patients to break the cost of their veneer treatment into flexible and affordable monthly payments. Patients can also pay for their porcelain veneers and other treatments with cash, check, American Express, Mastercard, and Visa.
Find Out if You are a Good Candidate
While veneers are a fantastic dental option to address cosmetic flaws, not everyone is initially a good candidate. Here are some factors your dentist will consider before proceeding with porcelain veneer placement:
Oral Health
You must be in good oral health and free of issues like gum disease and tooth decay. This ensures a healthy foundation for your cosmetic dentistry treatment. If you require preparatory treatment, Dr. LoPour offers a range of restorative and general dentistry treatments to improve your candidacy for dental veneers.
Enamel
Dental veneers require a small amount of enamel to be removed from the surface of the tooth. This allows the veneer to fit properly and blend with your natural teeth. If you have worn or damaged enamel, your dentist may suggest alternative treatments such as dental bonding or a dental crown instead of veneers.
Tobacco Use
Tobacco use has been linked to a number of oral health concerns such as gum disease and tooth loss. Tobacco products can also cause stains and yellowing. To protect your oral health and your cosmetic investment, it is best to stop all tobacco products to ensure you can enjoy a beautiful smile for years to come.

Our porcelain veneers are crafted on-site by our trusted ceramist. This means faster treatment held to a higher standard from start to finish.

Caring for Your Beautiful New Smile
It is important to remember that since the tooth is altered when the enamel is removed, it will always require a restoration. While our porcelain veneers are durable, they will wear over time with use. With proper care, you can enjoy your veneers for up to 15 years or more. Here are a few tips to keep in mind:
Be Mindful of Stains
Be mindful of foods and drinks that are prone to staining such as red wine and coffee. While you don't have to avoid them entirely, it is best to minimize them if possible to keep your veneers and teeth brilliant for as long as possible.
Be Careful with Hard Foods
Hard foods such as raw vegetables can damage your veneer. If possible, bite and chew these foods with teeth that do not have a restoration on them. Avoid habits like chewing ice as this can damage your veneers and your natural teeth.
Don't Use Teeth as a Tool
Do not use your teeth to bite your nails or open packages. This can cause your veneer to become dislodged and it can damage your veneer and your teeth.
Maintain Good Oral Hygiene
Maintain good oral hygiene by brushing at least twice a day with a soft-bristled toothbrush and a nonabrasive toothpaste. Be sure to floss as well. Don't forget your regular exams and cleanings to keep your smile healthy and beautiful for years to come.
